About the event
Infidelity is one of the most challenging couples problems for clinicians to treat. This pervasive issue touches us both professionally and personally as therapists; therefore, we bring our own personal beliefs and reactions into the therapeutic dynamic. In order to do the work around infidelity ethically, we must understand how our "selves" potentially influence critical components of treatment that lead to successful therapy outcomes. This workshop brings awareness to our biases and how they impact our therapeutic decision-making when it comes to building alliances within our couple system and choosing and implementing treatment and intervention modalities.
Completion of this program does not ensure or guarantee AASECT certification. For further information please contact info@assect.org.
